  1. Jun 23, 2017 - Fix: Network Adapter Not Detected in Windows 10. You can either download it to a USB on another computer or write it to a disc so it can be.
  2. Updating the Linksys network adapter’s driver Enabling the Safari® browser’s Develop menu using a Mac® computer Clearing the cache of the Microsoft Edge browser.

Having same issue, I see after 1 min the icon change to wired Connection, but everything is really slow, only thing working is task manager, folders and setting are not showing up. When I disable usb tethering on the phone, everything goes smooth again, and the settings window and such pop up right away. And Edge browser show up blank with no bookmarks or addressbar, untill I turn off usb tethering on phone. Kind of like when I forgot to disconnect from wifi before enabling usb tethering in W7.

I had the same problem when tethering my Windows 10 computer to my Galaxy S6's internet connection. 1) I fixed it by going to Device Manager 2) Under Network Adapters I right clicked Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device 3) Selected 'Update Driver Software.' 4) Then 'Browse my computer for driver software' 5) 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' 6) Unticked Show compatible hardware 7) Selected to 'Microsoft' under the Manufacturer section 8) Then clicked 'Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device' This driver lets me use my phones internet connection without causing massive sluggishness in Windows. I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 And now it does not work for me either. However yesterday I found a program Called FoxFi.

Look it up On YouTube And download it from the Play Store. Long story short It cost $7.95 For the full version About 3 more Dollars Then what we paid for the block mod. But it does work And I ran it today From my own network that I created On my Android phone For about 3 hours Non-Stop and it's really fast. Take a look at it FoxFi. For the same price you can also set it up To USB Tether.

Check it out it works with Windows 10. I use an iPhone and I tether my laptop all the time back when Windows 8 was used.

After I update to Windows 10, I can no longer tether my laptop with my iPhone. Not through Wifi not Bluetooth not USB, nothing. I am CERTAIN that it's the problem of Windows because I can still use my iPhone to tether ALL other devices.

And I can not tell you how FRUSTRATED I am all these time when I really need a network to send out an important email while travelling out. All that I can cry out in my brain is that Windows is truly becoming a piece of you know what. WHY DO I HAVE TO BUY A 4G ROUTER IF I HAVE A PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL 4G PHONE?! IT USED TO WORK ALL THE TIME NO LESS! Let me tell you.

Outlook is going crazy, Windows 10 is all sparkles and nothing substantial. This could be a reason for me to stop paying Microsoft and switching to Mac OS. Yeah, maybe that's the real solution, once and for all. Hello Likhitha, Yes I did try what BenjaminRamsden suggested and none of them work as a matter of fact. However I did find out a solution from another forum that is both simple and it finds the real root of this problem. Here's the deal: Windows 10 somehow cannot process Wifi Access Point Name (name of the Wifi if this is the correct term) with a space in it.

I have changed my iPhone name from ' Aaron's iPhone' to ' Aaron's iPhone' and it worked just like before. So now I consider this problem as having nothing to do with USB driver or iTunes installation. It is simply the problem of the APN having a space in it and Windows does not finalize the connection in such case.

I am going to thank this guy who made this suggestion that solved this problem and he really sees the inside of this issue. I also hope that this provides a clue for Microsoft engineers to crack this matter in the future update.
